This class is for first time and returning students. New students will incorporate various basic metals techniques to create original wearable or sculptural projects using non-ferrous metals. Returning and advanced students will use stones, found objects, and metal materials to create wearable or non-wearable objects of their own design. Emphasis will be on concept and function. Beginning students will create a fabricated silver ring and an etched silver bracelet or book mark. Advanced students will receive personal instruction to achieve their jewelry and metal smithing goals.


Supplies: Bring lots of ideas, sketchbooks, and if you have your own tools please bring them. We have basic tools for new students to use. Materials will be purchased in class.
