In this introductory course the participants will receive a basic background on how to cut a cabochon including an introduction to terminology, introduction to equipment used for cutting and polishing and then a step by step instructor led, hands on process including selecting a slab, trimming the slab, mounting stone to dop stick, 6 wheel cutting and polishing, dop stick removal and stone cleaning. At the end of the class, each participant will finish both an oval and round cabochon.
