ADVANCED GLASSBLOWING PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

The goal of advanced instruction is to teach you the skills required to make your own art glass. Advanced instruction is tailored to each student. Each session builds on your experience to hone and refine skills and focus on advanced techniques such as adding lip wraps, trailing color, creating overlays, pulling necks, making incalmo pieces, pulling and incorporating cane, creating and incorporating murrine. Most importantly it will focus on working hotter and thinner.


Supplies: To make advanced instruction worthwhile, students are suggested to work weekly or bi-weekly with a minimum commitment of two times per month. Three hour minimum applies per session. We supply safety glasses (if you wear glasses for both distance and reading those are fine), please wear closed toe shoes, non-synthetic clothes and bring water. Feel free to take pictures if you like. Note: For safety, classes will be rescheduled should the heat index exceed 95 during class time.
