This is a beginning class designed for those who want to learn to use a knitting machine. No previous knitting experience is required. Knitters will learn how the machine works and techniques needed to knit fabric and garments. These techniques include casting on, binding off, measuring and using gauge, and shaping methods. There will be time to practice during class and students will knit a project, incorporating the techniques.

Supplies: Practice yarn (sport or light worsted weight, wool or acrylic, 200 grams), paper, pencil, calculator, scissors, tape measure, tapestry needle, T-pins and lunch. Yarns for projects will be discussed in class.
