This is a beginning class designed for those who want to learn to use a knitting machine. No previous knitting experience required. Knitters will learn how the machine works and techniques needed to knit fabric/garments. Techniques include casting on, binding off, measuring/using gauge, shaping methods. There will be practice time and students will knit a project incorporating the techniques.


Supplies: Practice yarn (sport or light worsted weight, wool or acrylic, 200 grams), paper, pencil, calculator, scissors, tape measure. Yarns for projects will be discussed in class.
