This course utilizes flat patternmaking methods in order to draft a full-scale jacket foundation, a one-piece and a two-piece sleeve using students own block sets. Students will draft the foundation and sleeves and will transfer paper patterns to oak tag board which will be completed with labeling. Students will learn what this block set is used for in developing garment designs. Material fee includes brown paper, oak tag board and pattern hooks. Prerequisite: Intro to Patternmaking, Patternmaking: The Individualized Block Set


Supplies: 18"x2" clear ruler, french curve, tape measure, mechanical pencils (.9mm), erasure, tracing wheel, wax or transfer tracing paper, 3/4” wide matt finish tape, straight pins, paper scissors, red pencil *Instructor will have the following items available for class use but if the student has these items, they are encouraged to bring them to class: hip curve ruler, large french curve, notcher, awl, style-line tape
