Supplies: Students only need to choose one type of pastel to paint with. Choose either oil pastel or soft pastel unless you wish to work with both types types. Supply List for Oil Pastel: Mungyo Gallery Artists Oil Pastel - Set of 48, 1 jumbo stick of white Sennelier Oil Pastel, 1 stick of Holbein darkest Magenta, 1 stick of Holbein darkest Indigo, 1 tube of Grumbacher's Res-n-gel, a plastic table cover, Wet-Ones for clean up, a foamcore drawing board, 1 role of white or tan masking tape, Arches or Strathmore printmaking papers in a variety of sizes, a few sheets of glassine paper, paper towels, a portfolio for transporting work to and from class. Supply List for Soft Pastel: Sennelier Soft Pastels Assorted half stick set of 20, Small bottle of Gamasol, or other mineral spirits, roll of tan or white masking tape, paper towels, about 16x20" or 18 x 24" foam core drawing boards, Wet-Ones for cleanup, UArt sanded papers in a variety of sizes, or Art Spectrum Colorfix, or Pastel Mat. All are sanded or textured to hold soft pastel, A few sheets of Glassine paper to protect unfinished work held or stored in a portfolio. A portfolio to hold pastel paintings to and from class.
