Prerequisite: Intro to Patternmaking This ongoing laboratory course provides students with the opportunity to develop their own garment design from concept to patternmaking to first muslin sample to complete garment with instructor guidance.


Supplies: 18"x2" clear ruler, french curve, tape measure, mechanical pencils (.9mm), erasure, tracing wheel, wax or transfer tracing paper, 3/4" wide matt finish tape, straight pins, paper and fabric scissors, red pencil, hand sewing (basting) needles, spool of colored thread, medium weight muslin for first sample *Instructor will have the following items available for class use but if the student has these items, they are encouraged to bring them to class: hip curve ruler, large french curve, notcher, awl, style-line tape
