Prerequisite: Patternmaking 1. This course utilizes flat patternmaking methods in order to draft and fit a basic full-scale block set (skirt, bodice and sleeve) according to students’ own measurements. Students will take body measurements, draft block set, create/fit a full muslin sample, make pattern adjustments and, finally, transfer adjusted paper pattern to oak tag board which will be completed with all pattern labeling. Material fee includes brown paper, oak tag board and pattern hook. Prerequisite: Intro to Patternmaking


Supplies to bring: 18"x2" clear ruler, 24” curve, tape measure,(.9mm) mechanical pencil set, tracing wheel, tracing paper, 3/4” Scotch magic tape, weighted tape dispenser, pins, paper and fabric scissors, red pencil, 4 yd. 54" wide medium weight muslin, hand sewing needles, spool of colored thread

*Instructor will have the following items available for class use but if the student has these items, they are encouraged to bring them to class: large french curve, notcher, awl
