Brioche knitting is an increasingly popular technique that encourages knitters to learn how to “read” their knitting. This workshop is structured to demystify one-color brioche. We will cover all the basics including essential stitches, cast on and bind off as well as terminology, basic increases and decreases and troubleshooting brioche. Knitters should already know how to knit, purl, yarnover, k2tog. · how to choose appropriate yarn, how to perform two essential stitches, cast on, setup row, and bind off terminology.
Supplies: For sampling, you will need a generous amount of yarn. A minimum of 50 yards of light colored, worsted weight wool/wool blend yarn avoid slippery yarns and variegated yarns. Bring a variety of needle sizes to accompany yarn size (i.e. US size 7-9 for worsted weight).
