Learn basic and intermediate carving techniques used to carve in the round (3 dimensional) and relief carvings. Focus will be on techniques and steps on how to complete a carving from basswood. These techniques will be used to tackle a project of your choice from a variety of already designed patterns (bird, small person, santa face ornament, mini house/hut, pendants, etc.) or you can come up with your own design. I have knives and gloves to use but if you have your own please bring them. Please feel free to contact me beforehand if you have any questions.


Supplies: Please bring your own carving tools and safety glove if you have them. I’ll have some to borrow if needed. Please call if you need recommendations on purchasing tools.
