Prerequisite: Patternmaking 2 Learn how to make a pattern from an existing garment. Bring your favorite simple garment, such as a skirt, shirt or dress, and turn it into a working pattern. Students will complete a pattern draft and muslin sample.
Supplies: Supplies: 18"x2" clear ruler, french curve, tape measure, mechanical pencils (.9mm), erasure, tracing wheel, wax or transfer tracing paper, 3/4” wide matt finish tape in weighted dispenser, straight pins, paper and fabric scissors, red pencil, medium weight muslin, hand sewing (basting) needles, spool of colored thread *Instructor will have the following items available for class use but if the student has these items, they are encouraged to bring them to class: hip curve ruler, large french curve, notcher, awl, style-line tape
