Drawing from natural specimens (plants, shells, feathers and bones) we will explore how a strong composition along with color theory can produce a strong piece of work using colored pencils. Color mixing exercises and friendly critiques along with individual attention will allow you to achieve your goals. This class is suitable for the beginner and those more advanced.


Supplies: Sketchbook for exercises, graphite pencil, kneaded eraser, Mars Staedtler white eraser, set of 48 professional colored pencils (ex. Prismacolor Premier, Faber-Castell Polychromos, Caran d’Ache,…), good paper for finished work (bring whatever you have for the first night)
