Chainmaille is the art of weaving metal jump rings in pattern. This class is designed for beginners. Students will be introduced to the basic skills used in chainmaille and some technical background will be discussed. Students will weave a project using the Byzantine pattern, a great pattern for beginners. We will be working with small rings so bring your magnifiers.


Supplies: Bring chainmaille pliers if you have them, preferably coated so they do not mar the metal. If you do not have pliers, Fine Line has some available for students to borrow. Bring magnifiers. Jump rings for weaving will be provided.
