This class covers the basic tools, skills and knowledge needed to work with wire. Students will learn basic wire-wrapping techniques by making a bracelet and wrapping a cabochon. Students will also explore basic wire weaving techniques and will make a set of samples that illustrate the various weaves.

- one oval cabochon no larger than 30x40mm (glass or stone)

Basic wire-working tool kit that consists of the following: (Bring your own tools if you own them. Otherwise, tool kits will be available for use during the class.)
- flush cutter
- needle nose pliers
- flat nose pliers
- round nose pliers
- plastic wire straightening tool
