Some brands are Prismacolor Premier (set of 48 is good), Faber-Castel Polychromos, Caran d’Ache Luminance, Lyra, Brunyzeel, …. Please do not get student grade pencils like Crayola etc. You will only be frustrated. Please buy professional quality pencils. \n\nSketchbook or paper for some warm-up exercises. \n\nPaper of your choice. Some options could be – hot press watercolor paper (Fabriano Artistico is nice), Strathmore Bristol vellum 500 series, Stonehenge drawing paper...  If you have done graphite drawings in the past you can probably use the same paper.
