You have been sewing for years but now you seem to be spending endless hours trying to get your garments to fit properly! Don’t give up! Through much trial and error, I have developed easy and foolproof ways to customize the fit of your garments. I start with the Palmer Pletsch method and from there show you some additional shortcuts that will allow you to customize the fit of all your commercial patterns. This process is logical and sequential and easy to follow. You will love knowing all your creations will fit you perfectly. The bodice is the hardest to fit and that is the focus of this class. No sewing machines needed for this workshop. Class size is limited to 5 students to give you individual attention.Supplies: FIT WORKSHOP SUPPLY LIST No sewing machines needed for this workshop. We will be using McCall’s #6124 “The Perfect Shirt” for our class. The pattern has three optional princess style fronts and sleeve variations. *Very important! Wear the same undergarments you would typically wear with a shirt/blouse. You will be trying on your paper pattern, so wear a camisole or close fitting tank top for modesty. You may wish to bring a robe or other cover-up you can easily slip in and out of as you make changes to your pattern. **A good fitting bra is essential for accurate fitting and looking your best in your garment. Be sure to wear the same bra for each day of class. Changing the style (older or newer) or the support level, can make a difference in your fit as your bust fullness and position can change with different bras.
