CALLIGRAPHY COLOR POWER - WITH TIM BOTTS

Tim Botts

$145.00

We will begin exploring color through black and white studies in value contrast and density. Exercises with colored paper and color mixing will help us understand hues and color schemes. We will also make responses to various types of music with experimental marks on paper. Opaque and trans-parent use of gouache, gradation through the letters, layering, and working dark and light on medium value paper will all be demonstrated along with opportunities to try each technique. A slide talk will illustrate color as a tool for a wide range of expressions. Knowledge of one writing style is recommended.
