Start your new year at Fine Line! Enjoy a “taste” of 4 classes. All materials and lunch are provided. Perfect for beginners wanting to try something new! The classes we will be offering are:

Handbuilding ceramics - Using handbuilding techniques, create a whimsical sculpture using terra cotta clay. You will have to return to the studio to pick-up your fired piece.

Thermofax screen printing - Learn proper printing techniques using thermofax screens and textile paints.

Photography - “Photography myths you need to stop believing” - a discussion about photography - Most of us have fallen for photography myths at some point, especially now when we have so many information sources thanks to the internet. We tend to follow every tip given by those more “experienced” and then after spending a fortune we realize half of them do not work for us. What say you? Too risky taking the responsibility to go down the road of I AM right and THEY are wrong?

Blacksmithing (Weather permitting)  - Create an iron hook (must hand good arm and hand strength. Dress for working in an outdoor barn that is heated minimally)

Felting - Needle felting is fun and it’s a great way to make both decorative and functional works of art. In fact, the possibilities are endless. Get a start making felted flowers that are perfect for decorating your clothing or your home.

Chain Maille Bracelet  - Come learn the technique of linking rings to make designs of color.  We will be working with a basic pattern for all to learn and enjoy - No previous experience needed.  You will learn to work with 2 pliers in your hands and in no time will have all your loops linked into a custom chain to wear home for all to admire.

Weaving on the floor looms - Learn how to weave a bookmark on the large floor looms.

Making Cuff Bracelets - This is a jewelry making class and, we will be making cuff bracelets!  You will receive a strip of silver or copper and, will then explore different processes in jewelry making that will make your bracelet unique.  Show your artistic flair by expressing your take on it.  You can texture the cuff, hammer it out, and/or simply file and polish your piece of metal.

Glass Blowing -  make a blown glass paper weight. Must wear long hair tied back. Cotton clothing recommended. (2 students max per class)
