IMPORTANT SIGN-UP INSTRUCTIONS

In "your cart" TYPE YOUR TOP 3 CLASS CHOICES in the box that says "special instructions for seller" before going to checkout. Classes are assigned on a first come first served basis. We will choose 2 classes for you from your top picks. We will do our best to assign you classes from your top choices.

If you want to sign-up multiple people choosing different classes, please call the shop.

Enjoy a “taste” of 2 classes. All materials are provided. Perfect for beginners wanting to try something new! The classes we will be offering are:

Handbuilding Ceramics - Using handbuilding techniques, you will create an interesting sculpture. You will have to return to the studio to pick-up your fired piece. (limit 6 students per class)

Blacksmithing - Create an iron hook (must have good arm and hand strength. Dress for working in an outdoor barn that is heated minimally) (limit 4 students per class)

Chainmaille - Chainmaille is the art of weaving metal rings in pattern.  This class will give you a chance to try it by making a simple jewelry project.  (limit 6 students per class)

Book Making - Make a hard back paper covered journal using a simple Japanese binding technique. (limit 8 students per class)

Basket Making - Make a small woven basket in this class. Simple basket weaving techniques will be covered. (limit 6 students per class)

Watercolor Painting - Ever wondered about Watercolor painting? Learn some basic Watercolor techniques in this class. (limit 8 students per class)

Smartphone Photography - Explore the basics of how to take better pictures and unlock the hidden features of your phone camera with easy to follow tips and tricks. (limit 8 students per class)

Weaving on the big Looms - Have you seen the floor looms at Fine Line? Are you mystified (or mildly interested) as to how these wooden machines make cloth? Join us for Weaving on the Big Looms. Looms will be dressed and instructions given so you can play and experiment. (limit 8 students per class)

FULL - Metals/ Jewelry -This intro. to metals will explore some basic jewelry hand fabricating techniques. We will be using a disc cutter to cut discs, using a dapping die and punches to dome the metal if desired, and  experimenting with different hammering and finishing techniques.  At the end of the class, you will have created a pendant or pair of copper  earrings to take home and enjoy!” (limit 4 students per class) FULL

FULL - Glass (Solid Work) - Create a paperweight or flower with the assistance of the instructor. This method does not introduce any air or blown bubble into the pieces. Pieces will be available for pick-up 48 hours after the completion of the class. (limit 2 students per class) FULL

Masks are required for everyone on the Fine Line campus.

Arrival is 12:45 to pick-up your class assignments. Your first class will begin at 1:00pm. Your last class ends at 4:15.
