Artist: Nancy Erickson Dutmer
Media: Fabric paint, bead/sequin embroidery
Dimensions: 28" x 22"
Information from the artist: 60's icon Janis Joplin brought to life through fabric painting, beadwork and velvet. Her wild hair is represented by 'love beads' so desired during that era, along with a feather boa she wore frequently in her hair. The background of tye-dyed calico is also representational of the hippie generation.
