SEWING I

For those who wish to learn garment sewing or a review since junior high school. Students learn basic garment construction while making 1/2 sheath dress of muslin size 6. Not a wearable garment, but used to learn techniques of cutting, marking, staystitiching, darts, zipper insertion, discussion about interfacing, and order of construction


Supplies: Please purchase Butterick #6849, 2 yards of 45" wide muslin, bring scissors for cutting paper only, 8" scissors for cutting fabric only, glass head straight pins, tape measure, permanent marker Pilot pen, notebook optional if you're a note taker. A closed beverage container is allowed in fiber studio, placed along window ledges and never on the work surfaces.
