When you look at the exquisite nuno felted garments created by artist and instructor Cynthia Boudreau, it should come as no surprise to learn that she has been deeply involved in the world of textiles since early childhood. Cynthia’s grandmother was a professional seamstress who made wedding attire and bridal gowns, as well as suits and coats, for an exclusive clientele in Chicago. What do comic books, the Beatles, Rat Fink, and a nun have in common? They were all early inspirations in the evolution of the painting career of Fine Line instructor, Bill Worchester. Bill got his start in the two-dimensional art world as a youngster, making drawings that he copied from comic books. By middle school, his skills were good enough that he found himself selling hand-drawn portraits of the Beatles and Rat Fink to his fellow students.
