Are you ready to take your realistic or abstract work to a more expressive finish? We will explore mark making, color and content through a series of prompts and exercises. Class will provide time for working on your own projects and friendly, constructive critiques.
Supplies: Sketchbook for exercises, Graphite pencil, Kneaded eraser, Mars Staedtler white eraser or Pink Pearl, 18” x 24” Drawing pad or larger paper if you prefer, Piece of sandpaper for sharpening charcoal pencils, X-acto knife or single edge razor blade or pocket-knife for sharpening charcoal pencils, Charcoal pencils at least one harder one for edges (could be a 2B or Hard), Vine charcoal for blocking in (I prefer the soft vine charcoal), Stump for blending, Chamois cloth (some people like to blend with these) another option would be a cotton rag.
