PEN AND INK ILLUSTRATION

Student will learn the basics of traditional pen and ink drawing using dip pens and India ink on bristol board or hot press watercolor paper. Pen nibs, inks and surfaces will be explored. Techniques to create tonal variation and contrast such as crosshatching and line variation with be emphasized before beginning final project. After completing final drawing, methods of adding color may be discussed if time allows.
