Explore the traditional open cutwork of Norwegian Hardanger Embroidery. In this introductory class, foundational stitches and patterns will be learned, and you will complete a small project that celebrates your new artistic skills. Easy to learn stitches and combinations will allow you to design countless possibilities of this beautiful Nordic art. No experience needed.
Helpful books: Beginner’s Charted Hardanger Embroidery – Rosalyn K. Meier, Susan L. Watnemo, can be located on Amazon – but not necessary for this class. Instructions will be provided in class. This text is great If you plan to continue on with Hardanger embroidery.
Supplies: 8-inch embroidery hoop and sharp fine pointed embroidery scissors This is fine needlework, so please bring your magnifying lenses/readers and any task lighting as you need.
