MAKE YOUR OWN SILK GARMENT

For Sewists with pattern layout and garment construction experience. First class meets in Surface Design to dye your SILK using Japanese shibori techniques. Following three weeks will meet in Fiber studio to construct garments. Choose from 3 garment patterns, London Shirt from Sewing Workshop, Simplicity 9140 dress, or Simplicity 7001 kimono jacket. Or contact instructor for approval of another pattern.


Supplies: Instructor will contact each student 1 week prior to class with instructions for SILK preparation. Purchased pattern, sewing tools and notions, rubber gloves, mask. Prior to meeting please order, sufficient amount of natural white SILK Broadcloth or SILK Noil from www.Dharmatrading.com
