As long as you can use a ruler and rotary cutter and sew on a line, you can do foundation piecing, otherwise know as paper piecing. This is a quilting technique that involves sewing fabric to a peper foundation with a printed quilt block outline. This allows you precise piecing easily. You can use this technique for small and complex designs.
