BEGINNING CHAINMAILLE

Chainmaille is the art of weaving metal jump rings in pattern.  This class will explore 3 chainmaille weaves which are good for beginners.  There will be a new weave each month.  The patterns are European 4-in-1, Byzantine and Helm Chain.  Students will be weaving with bright aluminum and anodized aluminum rings.  Color options will be available so students can create their own designs.  We will be working with small rings so bring extra magnification.  


Supplies: Bring chainmaille pliers if you have them, preferably coated so they do not mar the metal. If you do not have pliers, Fine Line has some available for students to borrow. Bring magnifiers. Jump rings for weaving will be provided.
