INTRODUCTION TO TABLET/ CARD WEAVING

Tablet weaving, also know as card weaving is an ancient method of creating narrow decorative woven bands. By using cards, or tablets you can weave strong bands with complex patterns. This class will start with a basic band pattern to teach how to thread the cards, and how to change the rotation of the cards to create new patterns from the same warp. Cards and yarn will be included in your material fee. If you have an inkle loom, you are encouraged to bring it, or you can use a Fine Line loom. Please note that this class is not a for a brand-new weaver. Students should have prior weaving experience.
