MENDING AS AN ART

In this one-day session we will learn about mending as an art form. Also known as visible mending, this form of fiber repair enhances objects by taking ripped areas and turning them into works of art. Students will learn basic stitching techniques, quilting methods and ways to applique over rips and tears. For this class student will need to bring a piece that is in need of repair to work with, this can be clothing, sheets, pillow covers, duvets, etc.
