CLASPED WEFT WEAVING ON A RIDGID HEDDLE LOOM
CLASPED WEFT WEAVING ON A RIDGID HEDDLE LOOM
Clasped weft weaving is a technique that allows weavers to make peaks and valleys or blocks of colors that don’t travel from edge to edge in a project. The resulting shapes make the cloth look much more complex than it is. The project for this class will be a scarf using two weft colors. You may bring your own yarn (smooth, medium weight is ideal, and the two wefts should be the same size) or the instructor can help you pick out appropriate yarn from the Fine Line shop. Prerequisite: Prior experience dressing and weaving on a rigid heddle loom.
Supplies: Yarn in your stash you'd like to use (optional) and note taking supplies.
