Explore a variety of structures that may be new to you, like Bumberet, Velverett Cord, Turned Monk’s Belt, Crepe, Canvas and more. In these weaves, the structures themselves create texture without the use of novelty yarns. Each student will set up a loom with one structure in advance and weave samples of all the structures in this round-robin class. Drafts will be provided before class and the materials fee includes all yarn required. Prerequisite: ability to dress a loom on your own.
Supplies: Scissors, Fray Check, twenty ½” x 9” light cardboard strips (e.g., from file folders), nine 1”x1” hang tags, pen or pencil
