Students learn basic garment construction while making 1/2 sheath dress of muslin size 6. Not a wearable garment, but used to learn techniques of cutting, marking, staystitiching, darts, zipper insertion, discussion about interfacing, and order of construction.
Supplies: Please purchase Butterick #6849, 2 yards of 45" wide muslin, bring scissors for cutting paper only,8" scissors for cutting fabric only, glass head straight pins, tape measure, permanent marker Pilot pen, notebook optional if you're a note taker. A closed beverage container is allowed in fiber studio, placed along window ledges and never on the work surfaces.
