DYE INTENSIVE: WORKING WITH FLEECE

Learn how to dye sheep’s fleece in this intensive workshop. We will cover the basics of preparing the fleece for dyeing. Then, we will cover various dye methods for fleece and view samples of each method. Finally, we’ll dye samples from different breeds of sheep.


Supplies: Bring a container (or plastic baggies) to transport wet goods, plastic or rubber gloves, plastic bucket for soaking your goods. Optional: A notebook, writing utensil. Come prepared to get a bit messy. Dress accordingly (old clothes, closed toe shoes). Please note: we will take a small break in the session for lunch.
