BASIC BEADMAKING TECHNIQUES, TIPS AND TRICKS

Discover the flaming-hot world of glass beadmaking by wrapping torch-melted glass around steel mandrels! Work at your own pace as the instructor actively assists you to develop your glass working skills. Demonstrations: forming shapes (donut, barrel, round), applying embellishments (dots, stringer, frit) , and twisties. Discussions: safety, equipment, workspace, and ergonomics. Instruction designed to adapt to your abilities and comfort level. You will make multiple bead keepsakes.


Supplies: Students MUST dress appropriately for safety: wear cotton clothing, closed toe shoes, long hair tied back, and wear glass working safety glasses. No food or drink in work area.
