GRANDMAS BUTTONS REPURPOSED - EVENING

Do you have fond childhood memories of looking through that jar of Grandma's old buttons? Or maybe you've collected buttons, and they are just tucked away somewhere? Lets turn those buttons into something you can wear and enjoy!(You bring in your buttons.) My pic shows several design possibilities to get you started. I have developed some designs to insure buttons stay facing forward - buttons with shanks tend to rotate. You will be making all your own components, ear wires, loops in sterling. No commercial or glue on findings here! Be prepared to make at least 2 pair of earrings or pendants.


Supplies: Bring buttons (beads too if you like) Material fee includes sterling for the project. Chain for a pendant is not included. Magnifying visor is helpful for all jewelry work. Bring something to tie long hair back when working with torch.
