STRUCTURAL FOUNDATIONS AND TEXTURE WORKSHOP - SLEEPING FOX SCULPTURE

Building large-scale ceramic animals requires a solid plan. This workshop focuses on the newspaper armature technique, a gamechanger for sculptors who want to create larger pieces without the weight of building solid. During our time together we will sculpt a sleeping fox using newspaper to make an armature. We will build in tandem, using the principles of form to create a good foundation for details and decoration. I will demonstrate my technique for sculpting fur and capturing the personality of your piece.


Supplies: Please bring: Clay, tools, a set of synthetic watercolor brushes & coarse oil paint brushes, newspaper, masking tape, bucket & sprayer for water, towel, board for supporting your piece.
